Our Educational Pipeline:
 
Collaborations between the Douglas Foundation and South African organizations that have resulted in an impressive “educational pipeline” between South Africa and the U.S.  Our goal is to break the cycle of poverty while, at the same time, developing future leaders in Africa.
 
This pipeline takes less fortunate South African high school students, who have been vetted by Make A Difference Foundation (MAD) and are proven to be academically talented and deserving, to attend the Piney Woods School boarding schools in the United States for up to 2-year period.  The educational pipeline returns these students back to South Africa to attend a gap year at a prestigious African Leadership Academy, and quickly puts them on the fast track toward making a meaningful difference prior to beginning their career at university in South Africa.
